1821 George IV gold Sovereign MS61 NGC

Category:

Despite the large numbers of mintage around 9 million sovereigns, coins from this period are not easily to be found in uncirculated grades. Widely appreciated for the quality of its engraving, particularly for that seen on his Laureate bust issues. This, one such example, displays a luster field with  crisp features expressed down to the smallest details in the King’s hair.

Minor scratches that can be seen are on the slab not on the coin.
