In 1887, there were 3 different types of gold sovereign issued; Victoria Shield, Young Head St. George, and Jubilee. There were also 3 Mints; Melbourne, Sydney and London.
This one is the type ID “shield” which is rated as scarce from Marsh. Graded from PCGS as MS61,a nice example of this date with lustrous fields.
