The 2007 Four-Coin Gold Proof Sovereign Set includes a gold proof Five Pounds (£5), Two Pounds (£2), Sovereign, and Half Sovereign.
Each coin features Benedetto Pistrucci’s renowned depiction of St. George slaying the dragon on the reverse.
On the obverse, all four coins bear the fourth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, crafted by Ian Rank-Broadley.
These coins are struck from solid 22-carat gold, with a fineness of 0.916, and are encased in their original Royal Mint acrylic screw-top capsules. The set is presented in a green presentation case from the Royal Mint and comes with an individually numbered certificate of authenticity.
The Royal Mint issued only 1,750 sets of the 2007 Four-Coin Gold Proof Sovereign Set.
