In 2015, for the first time in over 100 years, there were two obverse designs for the 2015 proof sovereign.
The early issue coins feature the fourth portrait of the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley, whilst coins produced after 2 March 2015 feature the fifth portrait of the Queen by Jody Clark, on the obverse.
